Astro City #50 - Over the weekend I committed myself to finally reading the current volume of Busiek and Anderson's superhero opus. I've started the old volumes in starts and fits and enjoyed them just fine, but always got distracted before I could carry on further. With a landmark number 50 on the way and the regular series about to close in lieu of stand-alone graphic novels, I figured now was the time to catch up...and then maybe go back and read The Dark Age or something.
JLA/Doom Patrol Special #1 - The beginning of the first DCU/Young Animal crossover, with mainline DC stalwart Steve Orlando teaming up with YA frontman Gerard Way, with his Midnighter partner ACO in tow. Of the big event books at that publisher, this is the one that has me the most excited.
Mystik U #2 - Mystik U is very fun, and a much better spin on the DC meets Harry Potter thing than Gotham Academy, to be honest.
Punisher: Platoon #5 - Penultimate issue of Ennis' Punisher prequel to his earlier prequel. Really need to catch up on this too. I bet it's awesome though.
Skip weeks are always short, but there's some nice stuff out there this time around! Go forth and consume!
