Art Ops #6
by Mike Allred
The super bright neon colors and abstract, gooey violence of this cover really make it stand out and catch the eye.
Birthright #15
by Andrei Bressan
I love how Bressan turns smoke and the flashing lights of police cars into something that fits the fantasy world that the central figure hails from. Really fantastic, subtle work.
Cry Havoc #3
by Simon Gane
I like that they've decided on a consistent design for the variants of this series, and Gane's cartooning style makes for a really nice, bold cover.
Independence Day #1
Sadly I can't figure out who the artist is on this one–everywhere only lists it as "Movie"–but it's got a truly fantastic design. Really nice use of the flag to accentuate the horizontal and vertical elements of the image.
Nowhere Men #9
by Dave Taylor
There's something really visually fascinating about the use of echoes and lack of shading around the eyes in square patches. Definitely one of the more interesting covers of the week!
Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat #4
by Erica Henderson
This one is exciting and fun, full of muted but strong colors and a great sense of action. Love it!
Ringside #5
by Nick Barber
The design on this one is impeccable. I love the use of negative space in the upper portion, with the red dots providing a sense of anxiousness.
The Ultimates #5
by Yasmine Putri
Maybe the best of Marvel's "Women of Power" variants yet. This one is glowing with energy and movement, and is certainly one of the most exciting covers to grace shelves this week!
