Sandman: Overture #6
by J.H. Williams III
I can't pass up our last chance to display a Williams painted Sandman cover! Gorgeous as always.
Godzilla in Hell #3
by Buster Moody
I love the comix style on this one, particularly on the cartoonish flames and the silky smoke!
Sex #24
by Piotr Kowalski and Sonia Harris
The idea of a full text cover is appealing in its uniqueness, and this reminds me very much of the old Who's Who comic guides back in the day!
From Under Mountains #1
by Marian Churchland
Churchland's art always has a classic fantasy feel to it, and that's only magnified by the awesome novel-like design of this cover.
Zodiac Starforce #2
by Kevin Wada
The cartoonish, almost Scooby Doo-esque look here is fun as hell, and the color design here is really excellent!
Hail Hydra #3
by David Aja
Hail Aja, the design master! This is such a cool look, with the tilt being the real kicker that makes it something special.
Rasputin #9
by Riley Rossmo
I love the minimalism of color here, and the fact that the central character is almost completely obscured in the blackness of the background.
Archie #3
by Fiona Staples
Staples is a master at an often overlooked aspect of comic art: body language. Everything we need to know about Jughead is contained in the way he stands and carries himself here.
Sons of the Devil #5
by Dustin Nguyen
In honor of being on the cusp of October, I think this cover is one of the few that is truly scary. It's such an unnatural perspective that the image could be of a cattle skull or of a woman with her head thrown back. Creepy!
