Invisible Republic #6
by Gabriel Hardman
Hardman does an excellent job portraying the intensity of battle here, and the muted color scheme adds a lot to the scene in the background.
by Babs Tarr
And here we have the exact opposite in terms of color–a gorgeously poppy image that really utilizes color to tell a story!
by Matt Taylor
Taylor creates really nice designs, and his best involve an overload of elements like this one. The basic two tone image with colorful wiry overlays creates a really nice contrast as well.
by James Harren
Harren's illustrations are always unmistakable; they ride a very fine line between creepy and cartoonish. Nicely done!
Hellboy in Hell #8
by Mike Mignola
Mignola pulls off another super fun cover, with action and humor, and of course in the kind of style that nobody but him can provide!
by Ken Niimura
This is a great cover with a lot of depth despite the minimal shading, but what really puts it over is the excellent cartooning on the central figure.
Drawn Onward #1
by Matt Madden
Really nice cartooning in a style that we unfortunately don't often see. It also tells a story in a frozen image and has a unique perspective that is rarely on your average comic cover.
We Are Robin #4
by Lee Bermejo
Bermejo has done arguably some of the best work of his career on these We Are Robin covers. The contrast between the extreme detail in the backgrounds and the high contrast figures in the foreground is killer, and the figures ooze action!
by Goran Parlov
The cartooning on the monster and the character in the foreground are really nice here, and I love how the title is integrated into the image, adding depth.
