Best Covers of the Week, Vol. 87

Island #2
by Emma Rios
I really dig that this cover is so stylistically different from #1, and is absolutely breathtaking in its style and color!

Robin: Son of Batman #3
by Dustin Nguyen
This cover is a bit unlike anything the very talented Nguyen has given us before–the downward action of the illustration is intense, and the detail on the bat's fur is wonderful.
 Young Terrorists #1
by Amancay Nahuelpan and Matt Pizzolo
The image is extremely striking for several reasons: unique color choice, excellent type design, and a clever and shocking concept that's sure to turn heads.
 Secret Wars: Secret Love #1
by David Nakayama
We all know I'm a sucker for retro themed covers, but it's rare we get to see one paying homage to the great romance comics. This one nails the look, and the whole idea is so silly that I can't help but love it!
 Wolf #2
by Matt Taylor
Incredible color design and a striking perspective make this one stand out.
 Archie #2
by Paolo Rivera
This one takes a funny concept and executes it to perfection. A classic!
 The Fiction #3
by David Rubín
Rubin's covers continue to push the boundaries of conventional design, combining great character work, haunting imagery, and careful design elements into great images.
 Weirdworld #3
 by Tradd Moore
The level of detail here is nothing short of incredible, and the intricate linework and depth makes for a really great fantasy cover.

That's it for this week. What did I miss? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
