Announced today at Special Edition NYC, the second creative team of the All New Marvel era has been announced: Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez are reuniting for Invincible Iron Man.
There had been a good deal of discussion regarding what title Bendis might take over next now that he's leaving the X-Men books that he'd been writing since 2012. I was betting on The Hulk, which I think would have been a better fit personally, but Iron Man is in a similar situation of mediocre sales and Bendis' involvement will certainly juice that a bit. At least it will for a short time, Iron Man titles typically never do better than 40k sales average, so I'll be curious to see if Bendis, one of the few BIG NAMES in comics, is able to work some magic there.
On the other hand, Bendis on Iron Man sounds like it'll bring out all his worst writing tics, but I'd love to be wrong.
