Fiction #1
by David Rubin
Rubin has such a unique style, and there's so much going on here to love. In particular, I really dig the color and the geometric shapes that really make the central character pop!
Prez #1
by Ben Caldwell
It'd be hard not to love this cover, right? It's a super fun concept both in terms of the scene it's emulating and the opposite sides of the boat.
Harley Quinn & Power Girl #1
by Amanda Conner
Conner has earned the right to claim these two characters as hers at this point, as far as I'm concerned–just in silent images she gets their personalities down so perfectly!
Empty Zone #1
by Jason Shawn Alexander
Such an intriguing image for a first issue cover. I love the rough painted style, but I think the whole thing really gives us a hint at what this character's like. Plus there's a little Furiosa in there, right?
Superman Wonder Woman #18
by Cliff Chiang
This is just too good. It's a really fun idea and Chiang nails the style, but it's the classic Wonder Woman here that really puts it over the top. Oh how I miss her...
Doctor Fate #1
by Sonny Liew
This is such a fantastic idea! The idea of old gods and hieroglyphics as graffiti are a wonderful touch, and the color and character work already have me sold on this new book.
Southern Bastards #9
by Jason Latour
It's amazing how well Latour has integrated perhaps the least likely subject of comic covers–sports–into fantastic designs. Killer!
Black Canary #1
by Annie Wu
I really like the colors here, but the really interesting thing is how it feels both eminently superheroic, but also perfectly removed from that realm.
