Action Comics #40
by Joe Quinones
I think anyone who read comics in the '90s will agree that this is about as excellent as it gets.
by Russell Dauterman
The first of two really awesome silhouette style pieces today, I just love this one. The color design is wonderful and eye-catching, and I could stare at this for quite a while trying to figure out the mystery myself...
Justice League United #10
by Dan Hipp
I don't highlight this style of cartooning enough, and this cover is definitely worth mentioning. Great colors, even better character work on the two leads.
Ms. Marvel #13
by Noelle Stevenson
Another excellent edition to the Women of Marvel variant series. A super-stretchy fist bump to Kamala Khan and Noelle Stevenson both!
by Marguerite Sauvage
And here's the other great silhouette cover. The linework on the interior is really killer, and this one really just stands out with a sharp design. Props on the typography for the title, too!
Batman Eternal #49
by Cliff Chiang
Oh, Cliff...can't you just draw all these books? The color contrast between the characters here is really nice, but most impressive is the terrifying sense of impact the perspective gives!
Howard the Duck #1
by Chip Zdarsky
Really awesome graphic design in both the cover of this comic and the cover of the book on it. It's a fun idea, and it's put together really well with a lot of style and subtle humor.
by Gary Spencer Millidge
Great magazine-style design here, with an alluring color palette. Everything really fits the mood well here, the text gelling with the image in a nice way.
That's it for this week. What did I miss? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
