For local Atlantans like several of us GeekRexers, the fun movie season doesn't have to end–one of our favorite theaters, the Midtown Art Cinema, is starting up their classic film series this month! All these screenings are accompanied by an introduction and Q&A on the film by a film studies professor, and are all along the themes of youth in rebellion and anti-conformity. I've been to a few of these in the past and had a great time, and the film selection this go round is pretty excellent. Anyone who hasn't had a chance to see Eraserhead in a theater has not witnessed true disturbing horror.
2/24 – BADLANDS
3/3 – ERASERHEAD
3/10 – PATHS OF GLORY
3/17 – THE LAST PICTURE SHOW
3/24- FIVE EASY PIECES
3/31 – AMERICAN GRAFITTI
4/7 – LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST
4/14 – LAWRENCE OF ARABIA
Here's the link to the flyer. Hope to see some of you there!
