So the question became, what's going to happen to the Avengers title just before the sure to be a box-office shattering Avengers: Age of Ultron film?
Why, a new relaunch of course. But just what will be the "All New, All Different" version of the team? That terminology is generally used in relation to the X-Men, particularly the classic Chris Claremont and John Byrne era.
I wouldn't bet on much X-Men involvement, given Marvel's tumultuous relationship with Fox, who owns the film rights to those characters. No, my first guess would be a very Inhuman slanted line-up, perhaps one that reflects a new status quo for the film version of the Avengers by film's end...it's a thought.
The next question is, who might take over as the writer of the book? Right now, my bets are either on Charles Soule, who just recently signed on exclusive with Marvel, but also is lined up for their Uncanny Inhumans title, or Al Ewing, who seems like the obvious heir apparent, given the critical acclaim for his work on Captain America and the Mighty Avengers.
G. Willow Wilson sure would be great too, and she just signed an exclusive herself, hmmmm...
