The American Film Institute has released its top ten films of the year. It's arguable that you'll probably see a good deal of these come Oscar-time. Hopefully that's especially the case when it comes to a few of their choices (though there's a bit too much Eastwood and Jolie on this list for my taste, but as always, your mileage may vary).
“American Sniper”
“Birdman (Or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)”
“Boyhood”
“Foxcatcher”
“The Imitation Game”
“Interstellar”
“Into the Woods”
“Nightcrawler”
“Selma”
“Unbroken”
“Whiplash”
Their television programs of the year included:
“The Americans”
“Fargo”
“Game of Thrones”
“How to Get Away With Murder”
“Jane the Virgin”
“The Knick”
“Mad Men”
“Orange Is the New Black”
“Silicon Valley”
“Transparent”
