Star Wars
On the Star Wars front, the hereofore untitled Episode VII FINALLY has a title and its Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not great, Bob. But of interest here is that it looks like Disney is dropping the Episode VII moniker altogether. The cynical side of me figures that means we'll be seeing about 20 future Star Wars installments instead, and that part of me is probably right.

The Hateful Eight

today announced the cast for the newest Quentin Tarantino film: The Hateful
Eight, a movie that almost didn't happen due to early script leaks. As it
stands, his cast is now: Samuel L.
Jackson as Major Marquis Warren, Kurt
Russell as John “The Hangman” Ruth, Jennifer
Jason Leigh as Daisy Domergue, Walton
Goggins (Justified) as Chris Mannix, Demian Bichir as Bob, Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray, Michael Madsen as Joe Gage and Bruce Dern as General Sanford
Smithers. Channing Tatum has also signed on for an unspecified role. The movie begins filming in Early 2015.
