Batman #34
by Matteo Scalera
Interesting to see Scalera on Batman, and I like how the stylized minimal shading on top contrasts with the exceptionally dark bottom.
Captain Marvel #6
by David Lopez
Lopez produces another crisp, dynamic action pose that evokes the epic battle that the issue must contain!
Blackout #4
by Micah Keneshiro
Excellent coloring here that's reminiscent of Dean White's unique palette. A nice framing choice too as the space between buildings is a perfect shape for the comic cover.
Constantine #17
by Juan Ferreyra
The skull motif is obviously overdone, but I really think this one is clever and evokes the death and tragedy of the trenches. Also: excellently rendered reflection in the gruesome pool of blood.
Zero #10
by Michael Gaydos/Tom Muller
I absolutely love it when the text becomes part of the image, and this one is endlessly interesting in that sense as well as the color framing device.
Godzilla: Cataclysm #1
by Dave Wachter
I'm not familiar with Wachter, but this guy draws a mean Godzilla. Great framing and detail.
Archer and Armstrong #23
by Michael Walsh
But where's Paul?! Seriously though, a nice homage and something impressively out of Walsh's wheelhouse.
That's it for this week. What did I miss? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
