Elektra #4
by Michael Del Mundo
Yep, let's go ahead and get this one out of the way. Another gorgeous, clever cover by Del Mundo. I think he's 4 for 4 in this feature!
Burn the Orphanage: Reign of Terror #3
by Malachi Ward and Matt Sheean
I like the muted colors and nice shading on this one. Plus giant rocky robots are always cool.
Life with Archie #36
by Francesco Francavilla
Nope, this isn't Afterlife with Archie, but Francavilla is wonderful all the same. He really manages to do a lot with almost only purples and oranges.
Adventure Time #30
by Nick Iluzada
Adventure Time still puts out some of the best covers and variants every month, grabbing unique talents like Iluzada. I like the different techniques used; this one's definitely an eye-catcher.
Witchfinder: The Mysteries of Unland #2
by Julian Totino Tedesco
I really liked the cover on the first issue, too, but this one takes the cake for setting the tone. Creepy and dramatic, with a texture and style that rivals the classics.
Ms. Marvel #6
by Jamie McKelvie
Oh, could these covers be any more fun? As usual, McKelvie's art is hyper crisp but still feels full of movement and life.
Dark Engine #1
by John Bivens
I really dig this; reminds me of great Joe Kubert art. I love when covers work with the title too.
Stray Bullets: Killers #5
by David Lapham
The return of Amy Racecar! I love the detail in the smoke, but most of all I love how much depth there is even when only using the bottom third of the cover. That bullet really does look like it's off the page!
That's it for this week. What did I miss? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
