Best Covers of the Week, Vol. 28

Iron Fist: The Living Weapon #4
by Kaare Andrews

I love the design elements that Andrews is putting into these covers. The scratchiness of it provides some really interesting texture and imbalance to the image.

  The White Suits #4
by Toby Cypress

A pretty eye-catching one. The skull thing's been done before, but I love the painterly background and indie sensibility on the gloves and the cartoonish people that make up the skull.

  Lazarus #9
by Michael Lark

Admittedly my love for this cover comes partly from knowing what it's about, but Lark has managed to create an image that is equal parts full of hope and desperation.

  Batwing #33
by Dan Panosian

Gotta love colorful Batman covers, and I think this is one of the more interesting ways to portray this sort of story.

  Robocop #1
by Goni Montes

What a pretty one! I love how smooth it is, and the cel-shaded simplicity of the outer compared to the intricate and more eye-poppingly colored inside.

  Robocop #1
by Alexis Ziritt

Had to include this variant cover by Ziritt...how cool is this? I love the comix look and the overall muted yellowish color.

  The Woods #3
by Ramon Perez

Perez is one of the finest cartoonists we've got today–among the crazy action that's going on here, take a look at the facial expressions of the characters. Fantastic!

  Moon Knight #5
by Declan Shalvey

I love when a cover can tell a story on its own, and this one does it with half a cover. Not to mention the rich detail in there.

That's it for this week. What did I miss? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook!
