Welcome to this week's edition, with all the best comic book covers that come out today!
Iron Patriot #1
by Garry Brown
Let's start off with a bang! This is certainly one of the most striking covers, and feels both retro and incredibly modern in design. One of the cases when a cover has me interested in a character I've never cared about before!
The Sandman: Overture #2
by J.H. Williams
The concept here is wonderful and whimsical, and reminded me to be excited about this despite the extreme gap between this and the first issue.
Silver Surfer #1
by Mike Allred // Francesco Francavilla
Two of my absolute favorites! Allred's cover is dynamic and full of interesting angles and curves, while Francavilla took a beautifully minimalist approach.
Crossed: Badlands #50
by Christian Zanier
Gross, but steamy, this one is rendered fantastically. The look on her face is disturbing!
Satellite Sam #7
by Howard Chaykin
Speaking of steamy, I'm starting to wonder if sex shops are seeing a distinct rise in the sale of fishbowl-style astronaut helmets...
Blackout #1
by Paolo Rivera
Nothing gets me like Soviet retro poster style. The colors, soft shading, and font design/layout are fantastic!
X-Files: Conspiracy #2
by Joe Corroney
Where's Bat Boy?
Justice League Dark #29
by [Robot Chicken]
Could not help but include this one because it reminds me of my favorite DC Robot Chicken moment (seen at 1:26 below). Keep it classy, classy Swamp Thing.
That's it for this week! As always, let us know what you think on Twitter or Facebook!
