SNL undergoing some changes for the coming season

Every year, Saturday Night Live makes some subtle cast shifts as veterans cycle off for incoming stand-up and improv talent. This year is no different as Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen have all moved on to green pastures (maybe, Portlandia is pretty good after all). Coming in to take their place are Upright Citizens Brigade Alums Beck Bennett, John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, and Noel Wells.

Our friends at the AV Club have some great videos to give you a look at some of these new cast members.

Additionally, it was announced today that College Humor writer Brooks Whelan and SNL staff writer Mike O'Brien will also be joining the cast.

In order to make room for this newly overstuffed troupe, Tim Robinson, who never quite caught on with audiences as most of his niche was already filled by Bobby Moynihan, will be moving into the writers room, and more interestingly, Cecily Strong will be joining Seth Meyers at the "Weekend Update" desk. This move will likely leave her as the "heir apparent" for the solo job once Meyers decides to leave, which is only a matter of time given his new duties as host of "Late Night" on NBC.

SNL has been treading water for a few seasons now, some new blood is very welcome.
