Review: House of Cards Season One

Yep. I watched the entire first season of the first original programming from Netflix, HOUSE OF CARDS. Whether or not it was a good idea for them to put out the entire first season in one sitting is not for me to debate, I'm here to tell you what I thought about the show as a whole. So here we go.

Remember the show DALLAS? Not the new one that at times is nigh un-watchable, but the original series? How despite the vile nature that JR Ewing exuded, there was always the ying to his yang. The good to his bad, and so on.

That just isn't happening in House of Cards. All of the characters have an agenda that is outrageously self serving and more vile than the next.

That being said, I loved the show. The acting, the stories, the atmosphere was brilliant. (Even when directors tried to be David Fincher).

Kevin Spacey leads a cast of characters that could very well be as low down as you see on the screen as Congressman Frank Underwood, who seems to be pulling all the strings.

I won't get into too much detail because it is not my intention to spoil things for you but if you are a fan of show that mixes West Wing with DALLAS, then this is probably right up your alley.

Rating: A
